Aprilia Rs Rx Sx Mx Hm 125Cc Rotax 122 123 Valvola Pneumatica Rave 2
The pneumatic RAVE2 valve can be mounted on the Rotax 122 and 123 engines.
The merits of this valve are:
- Linear Opening according to engine speed
- Accuracy during the gas partitioning to any regime
- Adjustable in seconds without having to disassemble any component (you can decide at what speed to start at the opening)
- Lower cost
- Less weight
- Does not require connection to the electrical system because it is completely mechanical
The only drawback of this valve (in the assembly of aprilia models) that is to function needs a hole of 4 mm perpendicular to the plane valve support, passing through to the discharge. The hole serves to put in communication and exhaust valve so as to enable its operation.
The HM models are already equipped with the hole on the cylinder and can then mount the valve without any modification.
For the correct operation of rotax engines 122 and 123 recommend the machined version which, thanks to mm more of the guillotine stroke, ensures the full opening of the exhaust pipe.
In 2016 it introduced a new pin billet which significantly increases the reliability of the valve, solving the problems of the typical duration of the guillotine of this engine.
